SILVERGLASS TESTS -SILBERGLASSTESTS ........

hallo ihr lieben,

gleich vorweg, für nichtperlis könnte es jetzt etwas langweilig werden, für perlis vielleicht umso spannender......ich habe für einen silberglashersteller testchargen zum testen angeboten bekommen, ja genau von den farben her habt ihr es sicher erraten, der großteil ist STRIKING COLOR GLAS, ein neues silberglas, dass in sehr limitierten chargen gekocht wird und teilweise noch nicht als charge zum kauf angeboten ....ich habe heute morgen die info erhalten, dass ein paar gläser ab kommenden wochenende hier erhältlich sind:



........und sorry ladies es ist amerikanisches glas und die hersteller verstehen kein wort deutsch....
daher gehts hier auf englisch weiter....

ok let´s start with DA-425 striking color
awesome striking color glass, easy to strike, colors from purple and pink over green, turquoise and blue, not easy to overstrike, this color loves oxygene and hates propan, so it is recommanded to work with a "loud" flame setting, (more oxy than propane) annealing temperature 495°, soak time 1,5 hours,

with this first bead I tortured the glass for more than 10 minutes, (base effetre black, encasing: lauscha clear) but as you can see the iridesent lustre is not easy to destroy, no thermal cracks

base: effetre black, striking color DA 425, stringer decoration: lauscha clear, charge febr.2009
with these beads I tried to find out if the glass is very stiff, and no it is not, it´s less than the moretti black.....

flame setting: oxidizing flame, more oxy than propane, (loud flame) awesome colors from purple over blue and green,

next one.............I´m totally in love with this glass.....it´s test #2, i would like to call it angel or dreamglass, it has an iridesent ethereous lustre, soft tender pinks till pastell greens and blues, if you strike it heavily and encase it with clear, the blues and pinks start to turn opalescent electric
and till now no cracking issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!clear: lauscha clear not the soft clear,
annealing temperature 495°

and sorry ladies this glass is not to purchase anywhere at the moment!!!!!!!(dieses glas gibts noch nirgends, ist noch in der testphase, gebe aber bescheid falls es so ist)








with this bead i tortured the glass, i shaped and squeezed it, reshaped it, pressed it and wound it again round, at last i encased it with LAUSCHA CLEAR, no thermal cracks till now........and it didn´t loose the great lustre!!!!!! did i mention that i´m in love with this glass?:-)))))))

and at last I reduced the angelglass......
